I always wonder what people expect you to put in these "tell us about yourself" spaces.
I will start by saying that I live in Huntsville, home of NASA in Alabama, in a two-bedroom condo with my husband and our two cats, Scout and Presley. I've been a nanny since I was 18 years old, but am only working two days a week in Birmingham until I find a job closer to home (or have a baby). I love children, but it's probably a good idea to stop taking care of other people's kids before you lose the desire to have your own.
I have two nieces:
McKenzi aka Kenzi Macaroni
Brynn is five, and she has Cerebral Palsy due to a brain injury at birth.
If you'd like to help Brynn and other people with similar challenges, you can make a donation at the United Cerebral Palsy website. Shameless plug, I know, but it's a worthy cause.
I also have a nephew:
Jackson "Cole" Crocker was born on February 7th, 2006.
My husband has his private pilot license and a Piper Cherokee 140, so when we travel (which we love to do), we do it in style... 120mph, 3500 feet above you poor saps stuck in traffic jams. Flying is something he's always wanted to do, so he's now working on his IFR (Instrument Flight Rating) certification and then will move on to his commercial license.
Other than that, I like to paint, I LOVE college football of the Auburn Tiger variety, and I'm spending most of my days learning how to be someone's wife. We got married on April 30, 2005 in Gatlinburg, TN, with our close friends and family in attendence.
